Be sure to check the list outside the Art Department’s offices for the name of your advisor. There have been many changes in advisors!

This semester’s BFA review will take place on Tuesday, September 26th. The public is encouraged to attend the Open House from 1.00-4.00pm in both the Fine Arts Building and the Art Annex. Students wishing to apply for the BFA review may obtain an application outside the Art Department’s main offices, the deadline for apps is 5.00pm on September 20.

The Artists’ Collective will be meeting each Monday at 12.15 in the office of Mary Ann Papanek-Miller, Professor and Chair of the Art Department.


The Art Department’s Annual Faculty Exhibition opens Thursday, September 7. Join the faculty from 5-7pm in the GVA. Here are some pics:

Linda McCray, MFA candidate in Painting and Drawing, won an international award for designing the Catholic Diocese of Helena’s annual campaign, This is 1 of only 3 awards that will be given at the International Catholic Stewardship Council‘s conference in Boston on October 1. Congratualtons, Linda!

Steve is collecting portraits of people around the world who live approximately 46 degrees north of the equator (the same latitude of Missoula).
