First Friday!

July’s First Friday is upon us and there are several excellent events to list.  All art majors should make an effort to attend exhibitions and receptions so as to be an active member of Missoula’s wonderful art community.

Art Major JENNIFER BARDSLEY’S exhibition from June has been extended at HOUSE (133 N. Higgins).  Stop by and take a look at Jennifer’s wonderful paintings between 5 and 7pm.

KYLE FERRIS will be exhibiting works at Betty’s Divine (521 S. Higgins) at a reception from 5-8pm.  His work features reused barn wood, prarie firewood and soda-fired ceramics.

Yellowstone Photo (321 N. Higgins) will host an opening reception for DAVID P. JACOBSON from 5-8pm.  Mr. Jacobson will display, and discuss, his digitally enhanced photos of Pakistan that were taken during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Works created by young students from the 2010 Gifted Education conference will be on display at Bernice’s Bakery (190 S. Third St. W).

The Brink Gallery (111 W. Front St.) will feature artists BEN BLOCH and CAROLINE PETERS in an exhibition titled, “iClaw”.

PLEASE NOTE: The Missoula Art Museum will be closed this First Friday in celebration of the Independence Day holiday weekend.
